Scholarship for Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today 2019

UNAM Los Angeles and the Hola Mexico Film Festival invite emerging Latinx filmmakers to apply for a unique and fully-funded opportunity!

 

Tomorrow's Filmmakers Today 2019 will connect 20 emerging filmmakers to the Hollywood film industry and its counterpart in Mexico through an intensive program that includes immersive seminars, visits to studios, conversations with directors, producers, and top executives in the industry. In addition, participants will be able to screen their short films as part of the festival and serve as the jury for the TFT, Hola Mexico Film Festival Best Film Award. 

 

Past guest speakers have included Rodrigo Prieto – Academy Award Nominee for The Wolf of Wall Street, Patricia Riggen – First Mexican female director to work for Sony Pictures, Moises Urquidez – Renowned Mexican TV and Film Director, Michel Franco – Cannes Un Certain Regard Award winner, Jorge Gutierrez - Golden Globe-nominated animator, among many others.

 

TFT alumni have gone on to premiere their work at prominent events such as the Sundance Film Festival and have taken part in developments programs such as Film Independent’s Project Involve. 

 

Tomorrow Filmmakers Today is supported by important organizations and companies including HBO, FOX, NALIP, NewFilmmakers Los Angeles and LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes.
